About the Costello Clinic
The Costello Clinic is a general outpatient psychiatry clinic specializing in helping children, adolescents, and adults. We focus on addressing problems that are typically resolvable or treatable within a 3 to 6 month time period. This means usually symptoms have significantly remitted or resolved, functioning is re-established, and maintenance therapy is instituted.
The Costello Clinic uses a comprehensive approach to treatment. Typically the practitioners here may focus on medication components of treatment but may encourage, educate, direct, and may provide psychological and social support recommendations or interventions as appropriate and individualized for each person provided care.
Each Advance Practice Nurse is supervised by Dr. Louis Costello, and they have specialized training in Psychiatry in addition to meaningful clinical experience and wisdom.
Dr. Louis Costello
Dr. Costello has been a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist practicing in the Lewisville area since 1996. He provides comprehensive and individualized psychiatric care including all of the following: evaluations, consultations to other medical and psychological caregivers, individual therapy, parent and family guidance, and medication management. He strives to use up-to-date psychiatric diagnosis and medication management strategies that are conservative, compassionate and research based. Treatment plans are developed with input from the patient and parent(s) when appropriate, to help individuals be as reasonably joyful, funciontal, and developmentally on track given each person's strengths and vulnerabilities.
